Position Overview The HR Generalist is responsible for agency-wide HR-related duties and works closely with the HR Coordinator and HR Director in supporting L.E.A.P.’s HR function. They are involved in various aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and offboarding. Their work contributes to a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and supporting employee development and engagement.
Compensation Salary: Base $25.00/hour. Hours per week: 35. Weeks per year: 52.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct full-cycle recruitment of new employees including job description development, placing advertisements, developing contacts with recruiting sources, assessing qualifications and educational backgrounds of applicants; tracking and monitoring vacancies, new hires, turnover; assisting managerial staff with interviewing and checking references.
Manage orientation and onboarding process for all new employees.
Maintain HR systems and records that meet L.E.A.P.’s HR information needs.
Support the management team by providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Maintain and conduct the performance evaluation cycle, training supervising staff on documentation, monitoring completion of professional development sessions and annual performance appraisals.
Assist with documenting group and individual staff trainings in appropriate databases.
Develop onboarding procedures specific to each center and individual staff member.
Document all staff’s qualifications and educational backgrounds in appropriate databases.
Establish agency-wide activities and events to support positive staff morale; facilitate staff and client wellness initiatives such as spirit week, monthly wellness focus, parent support groups.
Assist with annual compliance audits set by grants and internal audits.

Qualifications Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent; four to ten years of related experience.
HRCI/SHRM accreditation preferred.
3+ years of HR experience.
2+ years of experience implementing performance management tactics.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work, occasional handling of up to 10 pounds.
Frequent movement around office or L.E.A.P. centers.
Indoor office setting.
