Accounts Receivable & Collections Manager Base pay range: $85,000 – $100,000 per year.

A Corporate AR & Collections Manager will lead the organization’s accounts receivable and credit operations, ensuring timely collection of payments and maintaining strong cash flow. This results‑driven leader will employ process improvement, credit management, and team development to build efficiency, reduce risk, and support company growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop the AR & Collections team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Review and approve credit applications, establish credit limits, and assess customer creditworthiness to mitigate financial risk.

Oversee daily AR operations, including invoicing accuracy, cash application, and reconciliation of complex accounts.

Collaborate closely with project managers, operations, and finance teams to resolve billing issues and ensure alignment across departments.

Develop, document, and refine credit and collection policies and escalation procedures.

Prepare and present key AR metrics, aging reports, and cash flow forecasts to senior leadership.

Manage lien rights processes, including issuance of preliminary notices and filing of liens for construction projects.

Conduct regular reviews of customer accounts to identify collection risks, track KPIs, and recommend corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Support AR-related activities during month‑end and year‑end closing cycles.

Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and process optimization across AR functions.

Review and verify contractor and subcontractor pay applications for accuracy and contract compliance.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Minimum 10 years of accounts receivable and collections experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Strong command of ERP systems (e.g., SAGE Intacct, High Radius) and Microsoft Excel.

Comprehensive understanding of AR, credit, and collections best practices.

Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and deliver results in a deadline‑driven environment.

Exceptional problem‑solving, negotiation, and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.

Preferred:

Experience working in a corporate or multi‑division environment.

Knowledge of SOX compliance, audit processes, and internal control frameworks.
