Assistant Professor of Textiles – Kennesaw State University We are seeking a full‑time, tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Textiles for our School of Art and Design, with a preferred start date in August 2026. This position is a nine‑month contract and will be performed in Georgia.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses in the Textiles and Surface Design program.

Engage in service, scholarship, and research activities required of tenure‑track faculty.

Develop and maintain curricular materials, including the use of Adobe Creative Suite.

Participate actively in the academic mission of the School, including faculty meetings, committees, and outreach.

Provide mentorship and guidance to students across the program.

Required Qualifications

Terminal degree (or foreign equivalent) in Textiles or a related discipline, qualified for hire at the time of appointment.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.

Strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and active scholarly engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in teaching textiles, fiber, yarn, and textile materials at the university level.

Industry experience with textile design, production, or related technology.

Experience with sewing, textile design software, and online teaching platforms.

Business knowledge in fashion forecasting, trends, and trends analysis.

Demonstrated record of professional accomplishment in the field.
