Software Support Analyst (HCM Admin)
Job Purpose
The Software Support Analyst, HCM Administrator, works under the general direction of the I.T. Support Manager and is responsible for the day to day administration, troubleshooting, maintenance and application support for the HCM & Payroll system and other various software applications in use at Progress Rail Services. This position is also responsible for maintaining applications and systems needed by the organization and ensure that they are fully functional and operating 24 X 7 X 365, providing rapid response and support to systems as needed.

Key Job Elements
Primary support: PeopleSoft HCM (HR/Benefits/Payroll)
Secondary support: UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM), SAGE People HCM, Learning Management Systems (LMS); monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, coordinate with vendors or internal teams for resolution; participate in system upgrades, patching, and testing cycles; document support procedures and maintain knowledge base articles; collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support of HR and payroll systems; participate in SDLC activities including testing, deployment and post‑release validation; support integrations and data flows between internal and external systems; disaster recovery efforts & testing responsibilities; maintain alignment with enterprise IT policies and data privacy standards.
Education / Training
Bachelor degree in CIS, MIS or related Technology field preferred or equivalent related work experience.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.2 architecture including but not limited to PUM administration, PeopleTools 8.56+, Windows Server 2012/2016.
Qualifications And Experience
3–5 years of hands‑on experience in PeopleSoft Administration, including applying PUM and Tax Updates, performing PeopleTools patching, upgrades, and server migrations, strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and environment management, familiarity with Oracle and SQL for data querying and troubleshooting, ability to read, understand and develop PeopleCode is a plus.
Ability to work independently and efficiently while adapting to frequent changes in workload and priorities.
Additional knowledge of UKG Pro WFM, SAGE People HCM and Cornerstone/SumTotal LMS a plus.
