Legal Executive Administrative Assistant - MN Medtronic

is seeking a highly skilled, professional, and detail‑oriented Legal Executive Administrative Assistant to support the General Counsel of Medtronic’s Diabetes Operating Unit (OU) and the broader legal team. This hybrid role is based in our Fridley, MN office and will also provide logistics support for Board of Directors meetings and handle legal forms, invoices, and sensitive documents with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Handle sensitive, confidential, and proprietary matters with discretion on a routine basis.

Provide administrative support for the Legal function, including building presentations, preparing agendas, and proofreading correspondence and memoranda.

Coordinate and manage complex calendars, schedule appointments, meetings, and conference calls.

Arrange and coordinate meetings, including booking rooms and preparing materials.

Attend meetings for note‑taking, follow‑up tasks, and reporting.

Compile and process expense reports accurately.

Coordinate travel arrangements, including booking flights, hotels, car services, and visa applications.

Collaborate with other administrative assistants to strengthen relationships and streamline processes.

Organize and maintain legal files and materials, ensuring accessibility while protecting confidentiality.

Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and legal documents across the broader commercial organization.

Occasional travel to Diabetes headquarters in Northridge, CA for Board of Directors meetings.

Qualifications

Required: Advanced practical knowledge of legal administration gained through extensive work experience and/or education.

Required: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification.

Preferred: 4+ years of executive administrative experience supporting VP leaders or higher.

Preferred: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred: Experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or in‑house counsel role.

Preferred: Healthcare industry experience (pharma, med‑device, life sciences).

Preferred: Experience supporting VP/Executive level leadership in a corporate setting.

Preferred: Strong presentation development, communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.

Preferred: Continuous improvement mindset and customer‑focused approach.

Benefits & Compensation Competitive salary range for U.S. (excl. PR): $72,400.00 – $108,600.00. Eligible for Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
