Job Summary
Eastern Washington University’s School of Psychology invites applications for a full‑time, academic‑year lecturer position specializing in School Psychology or a related emphasis starting January 2 2026. The position is a one‑year appointment, eligible for renewal for successive annual appointments, and requires the candidate to be located in or willing to relocate to the greater Spokane‑Cheney area. Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology, including introductory psychology, development, research methods, senior capstone, and courses specific to the NASP‑accredited EdS School Psychology program. Collect, retain, and disseminate course and program data for accrediting bodies and professional standards. Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development, classroom instruction, and student supervision. Supervise students engaged in research, practicum, portfolio, and internship. Participate in weekly school meetings, college and university meetings, and program‑specific collaboration teams. Required Qualifications
MA, MS, or EdS in applied psychology, school psychology, counseling, or equivalent. Ability to teach courses within psychology and specific specialty areas, demonstrated by coursework, teaching experience, research, and/or publications. Mastery of basic computer skills (word processing, database, email, instructional technology). Experience in clinics, mental health agencies, schools, or similar settings providing school psychology, counseling, or clinical services. High interest in human and cultural diversity, social justice, and community‑based education. Demonstrated ability to teach in online and hybrid formats using synchronous and asynchronous components. Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D., or ABD in clinical psychology, applied health psychology, neuropsychology, counseling, or school psychology. Experience teaching graduate‑level psychology courses. Commitment to quality teaching and student development. Ability to advise students and supervise practicum/internship or research experiences. Credential as a certified school counselor, licensed mental‑health counselor, certified school psychologist, or licensed psychologist. Other Skills and Abilities
