Payroll Specialist
Northeast Family Services is seeking a detail-oriented
Payroll Specialist
to manage and process multi-state payroll using
UKG Ready . You’ll be responsible for calculating wages, deductions, and taxes, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate records. You’ll also coordinate with HR and Finance to support payroll reporting and reconciliations. This is a remote, work‑from‑home role, but you must reside in NH, MA, RI, NY, or FL to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Process weekly, bi‑weekly, and monthly payroll
Process wages, garnishments, taxes, and deductions
Manage timekeeping and PTO requests ensuring compliance with company policies
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll
Generate reports and maintain payroll documentation
Use UKG Ready and Microsoft Excel for payroll operations
Track and process employee leaves (FMLA, PML) in payroll
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience required
Minimum of 2 years of experience with UKG Ready software required
Solid foundation in payroll taxes and reporting
Must be able to work remotely from home with a reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace
Must reside in NH, MA, RI, NY, or FL
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is a must
Excellent time management skills, ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects
Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, quickly changing environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Ability to manage confidential information
