Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility for the efficient organization, procurement, receipt, and processing of specimens.
• Provide phlebotomy services for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations.
• Answer phones and respond to inquiries regarding specimen collection, scheduling, and coordination with hospitals, physicians, medical offices, and reference laboratories.
• Obtain blood specimens and perform general laboratory duties while maintaining quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Completion of a certified phlebotomy program preferred.
• Experience in a hospital laboratory desired but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
