GASTROENTEROLOGY Position Summary:
Loyola Medicine at Gottlieb Hospital invites applications for a full-time gastroenterology hospitalist. The hospital is a community-based facility with two anesthesia-equipped GI suites. The ideal candidate will work in a 7-day on/7-day off hospitalist model. Interventional (EUS/ERCP) skills are not required. The successful candidate will hold the rank of Assistant Professor. Qualifications:
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Gastroenterology; Illinois medical license at time of appointment. Clinical Model:
Inpatient rounding with Advanced Practice Providers in a 150-bed hospital. A GI Olympus upgrade project is currently underway. This opportunity offers excellent work-life balance, covering one hospital and no outpatient clinics. Recommended Experience:
GI hospitalist experience preferred; interventional procedures not required. Academic/Institutional Context:
This role is within a large Midwest academic medical center affiliated with Loyola University Chicago. The successful candidate will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor.
