And that's only the beginning.**Job Summary** Metrology Technician 3 is responsible for the calibration and certifying of physical/dimensional measuring and test equipment to technical specifications, maintaining traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).**Roles and Responsibilities*** Calibrates and certifies physical/dimensional inspection fixtures and special tooling to ensure accuracy against lab standards.* Performs equipment calibration, and preventative-maintenance; calibrates dimensional standards such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, go no-go masters, optical comparator to be used in lab.* Conducts complex equipment configuration on rotary tables and surface plates based on customer tool designs.* Maintains detailed records of calibrations, and test data.* Experience with Metrology database systems and software such as Indysoft, Fluke Calibration software (MET).* Provides technical guidance to customers and operators; resolves issues and improves productivity.* Writes and interprets reports, work instructions, and technical requirements.* Ensures compliance with safety and HS&E standards.* Leads and trains junior staff; adapts tools and procedures for special processes.* Participates in process improvement initiatives and provides status updates to management.* Performs other duties as assigned**Basic Qualifications*** High school diploma with minimum 2 years’ experience or associate degree with 5 years’ experience in dimensional inspection field.* U.S. Citizenship Status required due to client requirement**Preferred Qualifications*** Military PMEL/TMDE training preferred.* Preferred experience in physical calibration: rotary table and surface plate work preferred.* Fluke Met/Team, Indysoft experience a plus.* Customer service experience a plus.Hourly Pay: $40-44**KBR Benefits**KBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
