We are on the lookout for a Data Analytics Software Engineer with a keen focus on Data Transformation. You will develop and maintain the back end/ server-side parts of an application, typically consisting of APIs, databases and other services containing business logic. You will work with various languages and tools to create and maintain services on-prem or in the cloud. Our mission is to enhance the quality, design, marketing, and development of our current and forthcoming products through innovative solutions. A key initiative includes developing a state-of-the‑art connected vehicle analytics platform, delivering actionable insights to the Vehicle Engineers to boost product quality and value. This role demands a candidate adept in crafting complex analytic solutions, utilizing Python and/or Java within an Agile framework. Essential to this position is a solid track record in managing intricate data transformations and a profound understanding of Big Data methodologies and tools.
Responsibilities
Engage with customers to understand their use‑cases and requirements.
Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering using various tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies.
Align with architecture guidelines for a unified and coherent approach to development.
Design, develop, and deliver new code using various tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies.
Develop and maintain backend applications like APIs and microservices using server‑side languages like Java, Python, C#, etc.
Collaborate with front‑end developers to integrate user interface elements and with cross‑functional teams like product owners, designers, architects, etc.
Manage application deployment to the cloud or on‑prem, health and performance monitoring, security hardening and disaster recovery for deployed applications.
Manage data storage and retrieval in applications by utilizing database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
Promote improvements in programming practices, such as test‑driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
Optimize backend infrastructure and deployment practices to improve application resiliency and reliability.
Support security practices to safeguard user data including encryption and anonymization.
Actively participate in the team's efforts to deliver high‑quality software products that align with our customers' requirements and expectations.
Apply extensive technical expertise to develop effective Data Transformation solutions, advocating a collaborative problem‑solving approach.
Manage multiple, competing priorities within a comprehensive software development environment.
Educate business stakeholders on the advantages of an iterative development methodology, emphasizing the importance of delivering a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) through strategic prioritization.
Enhance your technical knowledge and skills, serving as a mentor to other team members.
Job Requirements Details Experience Required

4+ years of experience in IT.
3+ years of experience in development.
Experience with 1 coding language or framework.
Experience Preferred

Bachelor's Degree
