Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid – Onsite Work Required)Our client, a growing insurance company based in the Los Angeles area, is seeking an Investment Accountant. This role offers a hybrid working model.
Familiarity with statutory and GAAP reporting required. Seeking investment accountants with insurance experience. Will also consider accountants without specific investment experience if familiar with statutory reporting.**Key Responsibilities:*** Perform accounting, reporting, and analysis for a diverse investment portfolio (e.g., fixed income, equities, alternative investments).* Prepare and reconcile investment-related journal entries, schedules, and reports.* Support statutory and GAAP reporting requirements, including investment disclosures.* Partner with external asset managers, custodians, and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness of investment data.* Assist with audit requests, investment schedules, and process improvement initiatives.**Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.* Prior experience in the **insurance industry** is highly preferred.* Candidates from **public accounting** backgrounds with investment and/or insurance clients will also be considered.* Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with statutory or GAAP reporting.* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.# #J-18808-Ljbffr
