Patent Litigation Associate – Mid‑Senior Level
We are working directly with an elite Chicago litigation boutique on a rare, unposted opportunity for a mid‑senior level Patent Litigation Associate with 3‑7 years experience. The role takes on case leadership with significant client contact and stand‑up opportunities in cutting‑edge patent litigation across tech, medical, and other fields.
Remuneration Base Salary: $260,000 – $420,000 per year

Key Responsibilities
Lead patent litigation matters, including Markman hearings, depositions, expert preparation, discovery, and pleadings.
Draft and review briefings for discovery, motions, and trial documents.
Provide strategic counsel to clients and contribute to case strategy.
Collaborate with trial attorneys to lead stand‑ups and trials.
Qualifications
Sense of humor is a must!
3‑7 years of experience with major patent litigation and related events.
Strong knowledge of patent law fundamentals.
Strong writing skills, experience briefing discovery, Markman, and (preferred) dispositive motions.
JD from a top‑tier (T‑14) law school with excellent credentials, or top class at a non‑T‑14.
Preferred Experience
Arguing substantive motions or participating in trial teams.
Scientific or technical background (hard science or engineering degree).
Relocation to Chicago within 6 months or strong outside Chicago candidate case‑by‑case.
