Neuropsychologist (Academic/Faculty Rank DOQ) Job Summary

The Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) for Genetics and Rehabilitation at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha is currently accepting applications for a faculty position in the Department of Psychology as a Neuropsychologist (Academic Rank DOQ). Minimum requirements are a doctoral degree in Clinical, School, or Counseling Psychology with training and experience in neuropsychological assessment and research. Applicants must have Nebraska licensure (or be license eligible); board certification (ABPP) is also valued. Candidates with a clinical internship from APA/CPA-accredited programs in psychology are preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and oversee a program of neuropsychological services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Offer neuropsychological assessment and diagnostics, including development of assessment protocols and interpretation of results.

Provide clinical training in neuropsychology for predoctoral interns and postdoctoral fellows.

Lead a program of clinical research focusing on neuropsychology and developmental disabilities.

Implement practice‑extender (psychometrist) models to deliver direct testing while reserving licensed psychologist responsibilities for diagnostics, interpretation, training, and research.

Coordinate clinical care with schools, physicians, and community agencies across the region, especially for conditions such as brain tumor and treatment, TBI/concussion, epilepsy, and genetic/developmental disorders.

Required Qualifications

PhD in Clinical, School or Counseling Psychology.

Nebraska licensure (or license eligiblity).

Preferred Qualifications

Clinical internship from APA/CPA‑accredited programs in psychology.

Board certification, especially BCBA or ABPP.
