We are seeking an entry level
EHS / Safety Coordinator
to join a growing manufacturing company that designs and produces custom-engineered industrial solutions. This role is key in promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement in EHS practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, coordinate, and implement environmental, health, and safety programs.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and other federal, state, and local regulations.
Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and incident investigations.
Lead employee training on safety procedures, emergency response, and hazard prevention.
Manage hazardous waste disposal and environmental compliance activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Maintain EHS records, reporting, and audits; act as liaison with regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
Knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
Skilled in root cause analysis, risk assessment, and compliance management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence safety culture.
Professional certifications (CSP, CHMM, CIH, OSHA) a strong plus.
Experience within a
manufacturing or engineering environment (internship)
preferred.
