Job Description The Project Manager is responsible for the administration of assigned fulfillment and distribution center construction projects, including specific phases of project management under supervision. This includes managing schedules, cost projections, contracts, and project status reports. Project sizes typically range from $1M to $30M+. In this role, you will work directly with owners/clients, field superintendents, subcontractors, internal accounting, and the construction management team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and schedule-driven projects in the fast-paced industrial and logistics sector.
Some Things You Can Expect To Do
Participate in owner/client sales presentations, particularly for industrial and logistics facility projects.
Contribute to design development, budget preparation, and project scheduling.
Share job cost responsibility with supervising PM or Division Manager by keeping them informed of progress and challenges.
Under supervision, prepare and control budgets, schedules, and bid documents; negotiate and award subcontracts; assist in preparing profit projections.
Support and/or lead jobsite coordination meetings and prepare job status reports.
Manage project close-out duties, including final cost reconciliation, punch lists, final billing, and collection of fees.
Assist and/or manage all processes listed above with minimal supervision, taking full ownership of project delivery and client satisfaction.
To Be Successful In This Role You Must Have
Knowledge of Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
Proven ability to manage light industrial construction projects, specifically fulfillment centers, distribution centers, warehouses, and related logistics facilities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with superintendents, subcontractors, and owners/clients.
Minimum of six months each in estimating/preconstruction and field experience.
Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Willingness to travel and/or relocate as needed to execute projects.
Minimum of 4 years of commercial construction experience, preferably with industrial projects in the $1M–$10M+ range.
Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
Proven ability to manage industrial and commercial projects in the $1M–$30M range with minimal supervision.
Minimum of 6 years of commercial construction experience, with a strong background in fulfillment, distribution, or logistics-related projects.
