The Marketing Director plays a key role in managing the firm’s overall marketing goals. Working closely with the CMO and COO, this position manages content development, social media strategy, award submissions, newsletters, social media campaigns, special projects, brand consistency, and coordinated marketing efforts that position R+B as a national leader in architecture and design. This role balances strategic coordination with hands‑on execution.
Develop and lead firm’s business development strategy including direct calls, emails, and outreach
Assist with public relations to complement the firm’s business development strategy
Identify, research, and create action items to seek out new potential clients, project opportunities and additional campaign submissions
Develop and maintain systems for tracking leads, awards opportunities, etc. via our CRM, financial tracking software and spreadsheets
Establish and measure KPIs to track the impact of social media, marketing campaigns, and business development.
Work with the CMO and COO to define broader strategic initiatives and establish priorities for marketing projects, including photography, press, website, outreach, internal tracking, resources, business development, etc.
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy in relation to our integrated marketing campaigns to increase visibility and traffic
Able to prolifically write creative project narratives, award submissions, and any additional content needed for the firm’s internal and external needs
Manage and update firm’s website, web presence, and social media; develop strategies for developing and sharing content across digital platforms
Advance the firm’s presence through industry award submissions and press releases
Develop and drive strategies that optimize our existing SEO/SEM efforts to improve organic and paid search; driving performance marketing, client acquisition, retention, and engagement
Design and produce a variety of marketing collateral that speaks for the firm in a singular, consistent voice
Position projects for publications that reach our desired audience
Willingness to travel for photoshoots, potential client meetings, and other business development needs
Understand and conveys the firm’s DNA
Position the firm as the national leader
Thrive in a fast‑paced environment
Assist with third‑party providers, including agencies and freelancers, for any marketing contract work
Push graphics and formatting to reinforce our style and creative brand
Independently advancing technical skills with additional software and/or other training
Appropriately attends continuing education opportunities to remain up‑to‑date on current design, product, and technical trends
Position Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Marketing with progressive responsibilities
BS/MS in Business, Marketing, Graphic Development, Communications or related emphasis required
Superior written and verbal communication skills; experience with RFPs
Provide and receive feedback in a thoughtful, respectful and supportive way
Possess the ability to present projects to leadership, staff, or other large groups
Enthusiastically exhibits and actively encourages/reinforces in team members all of R+B Core Values
Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (i.e. Ajera’s Vantagepoint or similar) is a plus
Experience with web presence management including SEO
Experience and understanding of both Colorado and national architectural publications

Work Schedule and Environment Minimum of a 40‑hour work week during studio hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, additional hours as required.
Most work is studio/remote based, although some time is spent visiting clients and sites. Protective clothing such as hard hat and boots, is worn on building sites.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
