This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a System Administrator - LAMP in Poland.

We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to manage and maintain Linux-based servers in a dynamic web development and digital services environment. This role provides critical support for day-to-day operations, server monitoring, deployment, and infrastructure management across multiple web applications. You will work closely with development, QA, and IT teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and security. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with LAMP stacks, network administration, and open‑source tools, while thriving in a fast‑paced, remote setting. This is a long‑term, remote role based in Poland, offering autonomy, collaboration, and exposure to diverse client projects spanning multiple industries.

Accountabilities

Perform installation, configuration, hardening, and performance tuning of UNIX/Linux servers.

Manage production servers, including application deployment, patch management, and regular maintenance.

Monitor system performance, logs, backups, and server resources to ensure reliability and availability.

Support development, QA, and end‑user teams with technical issues and infrastructure needs.

Maintain network hardware including switches, routers, and firewalls, and resolve related technical issues.

Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes.

Participate in an on‑call rotation to provide off‑hours support for critical issues.

Diagnose and resolve hardware issues and perform necessary maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

Minimum of 6 years of combined education and experience, with at least 3 years in Unix/Linux, MySQL, PHP, and Apache administration.

Strong understanding of OSI and TCP/IP models and application layer protocols (HTTP, DNS, SMTP).

Experience with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and monitoring tools like Nagios.

Proficiency in supporting and deploying server‑based applications and open‑source tools.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills at the system and network level.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with distributed teams and multiple stakeholders.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
