Platform Infrastructure Engineer with a TS/SCI
to Join a cutting-edge satellite communications company that’s redefining how space systems operate. As a Platform Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of building and scaling secure, cloud-native infrastructure that powers mission-critical space applications. This is a high-impact role where your technical leadership will directly influence national security, global connectivity, and the future of aerospace innovation.
Responsibilities of the Platform Infrastructure Engineer:
Architect and manage Kubernetes-based platforms supporting real-time, distributed microservices.
Build scalable, resilient infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools.
Collaborate with software teams to deploy and optimize Python-based microservices.
Implement robust monitoring and observability using New Relic, DataDog, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, etc.
Make strategic decisions on cloud-native vs. self-hosted deployments across AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
Design and troubleshoot networking (VPNs, NLB/ALBs, TLS, HTTPS, CDN).
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
Engineer high-performance APIs, databases, caching systems, and event-driven architectures.
Apply cloud security best practices and optimize for cost-efficiency.
Manage identity and access control using Auth0 or Okta.
Use Git/GitHub for version control and team collaboration.
Responsibilities of the Platform Infrastructure Engineer:
3+ years in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Deep expertise in Kubernetes, cloud architecture, and automation.
Strong proficiency in Python, Terraform, and Unix/Linux systems.
Experience with cloud security, networking, and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to work independently and drive projects from concept to deployment.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Compensation for the Platform Infrastructure Engineer include:
Salary: $140,000 - $180,000
