Who You Are As an Assistant Store Manager, you will assist the Store Manager with developing, leading, and motivating a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience that supports building brand loyalty and achieving financial targets. You will operate as the Manager on Duty as assigned by Store Management and represent Curaleaf as a brand ambassador by providing top‑notch customer service and educating guests on our products.
What You’ll Do
Proactively communicate with Store Manager, District Manager, and cross‑functional partners to maximize revenue opportunities.
Model and lead selling behaviors aligned with our brand culture to support building loyal customer relationships.
Monitor and analyze customer service provided by team members, offering feedback and coaching.
Share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful guest experience.
Supervise store operations and team members, manage opening/closing duties, shift changes, task delegation, and scheduling.
Control store money, including register counts, withdrawals from the bank, armored car pickups, safe deposits, change orders, and bookkeeping.
Analyze inventory trends and supervise inventory management, including ordering items and leveraging company resources to avoid outs and overstock.
Maintain knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software (e.g., registers, LeafLogix).
Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and assist team members as needed.
Willing to travel to other locations for training and coverage; travel requirement 10%–25%.
What You’ll Bring
Minimum 1 year of retail and/or customer service experience in a high‑paced selling environment.
Minimum 1 year of retail supervisory experience.
Strong business acumen and understanding of measuring success through financial targets and KPIs.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
Previous experience in a heavily regulated industry.
Strong leadership skills; ability to build and manage teams.
Salesmanship skills and experience driving revenue.
Attention to detail in cash handling and POS operations.
Desire for continued learning and ability to share information with broad audiences.
Independent work and initiative; empowered to run the business in the absence of the Store Manager.

Previous experience in the cannabis industry.
Physical Requirements Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift up to 25 pounds, climb, balance, and lift up to 50 pounds. Requires close vision.
Work Environment This role operates in a professional retail environment, routinely using computers, POS systems, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The position has allergen warnings including potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens and requires working in confined spaces and high stress tolerance.
Pay Transparency $50,000—$55,000 USD
