Position Purpose Support the Veolia Capital Program Management Team in New Orleans, LA by developing, implementing, and managing plant upgrade projects and collection system projects. Projects include phased plant upgrades, disinfection, rehabilitation, solids processing upgrades, collection system upgrades, and other fast‑paced projects, with design/build or alternative procurement options.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Organize and direct all construction activities to ensure projects are built in accordance with design, budget, and schedule; meet accounting and quality standards.

Plan, coordinate, and supervise activities of company and contracted personnel on assigned projects.

Authorize, approve, and oversee work performed by contractors, including purchase requisitions and change requests.

Monitor budgets, schedules, cost reports, and job progress; review weekly with team members.

Act as the primary client contact for all field activities.

Maintain official project log and documentation files.

Assist with implementation and interpretation of safety programs.

Oversee project environmental regulation compliance.

Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisors.

Work Environment May be exposed to operations hazards including dust, fumes, toxic and caustic chemicals, heavy machinery, high pressure, hot or cold work temperatures, slippery surfaces, water, and electrical hazards.

Education, Experience & Background

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.

7‑10 years of experience in engineering design and construction of water and wastewater treatment systems; project management; cost estimating; business development; and construction management.

Experience in water/wastewater projects is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Team player who collaborates with stakeholders and Veolia team members.

In‑depth knowledge of construction technologies, equipment, methods, and company policies.

Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills.

Preliminary engineering to develop project cost estimates.

Strong written and oral communications; safety, cost, and quality management.

Project management of design/build projects.

Construction management experience.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training

Professional Engineer preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

Standing 25%, Sitting 20%, Walking 50%.

Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and entry into confined spaces.

May be required to use ladders or stairs.

Vision: close, distance, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
