Park City Wealth Advisors
Experienced CFP – Financial Planner
Park City Wealth Advisors, Park City, Utah, United States, 84060
We're looking for a
Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®)
who gets genuinely excited about creating brilliant financial strategies and doesn't mind explaining the same tax concept seventeen different ways until it clicks. This isn't a sales role. We repeat:
zero business development required.
You won't be chasing leads, cold calling, or attending awkward networking events. Instead, you'll be doing the deep work—servicing our existing clients with thoughtful financial plans, tax-smart strategies, investment guidance, and the kind of communication that makes complex stuff feel simple. You'll have a paraplanner backing you up, a hybrid work setup that respects your life outside the office, and clients who actually appreciate what you do.
What You'll Actually Be Doing:
Be the go-to financial planner for your assigned clients
Craft comprehensive financial plans that are equal parts brilliant and understandable
Develop tax strategies that make CPAs nod approvingly
Build investment plans aligned with real goals (not just "maximizing returns")
Lead client meetings with warmth, clarity, and the confidence that comes from actually knowing your stuff
Translate financial complexity into human conversation
Thoughtful Planning Work:
Create customized strategies across tax, estate, investments, and insurance
Collaborate with clients' CPAs, attorneys, and other advisors (without turf wars)
Spot planning opportunities that others miss
Monitor and adjust plans as life happens
Post-Meeting Magic:
Guide your paraplanner through follow-ups and workflows
Ensure every client commitment gets documented and executed
Keep Salesforce (our CRM) accurate and compliant—because future you will thank present you
Explain concepts clearly, whether to a tech entrepreneur or a retired teacher
Listen deeply, ask good questions, respond thoughtfully
Write emails and summaries that clients actually want to read
Be the kind of advisor clients refer to their friends
What We Offer:
Competitive salary + performance incentives (because good work deserves recognition)
Hybrid work model (office days for collaboration, home days for deep focus)
Paraplanner support (so you can focus on strategy, not data entry)
Full benefits: 401(k), health/dental/vision, life insurance, profit sharing
A team that values excellence, integrity, and occasionally laughing at ourselves
You're Probably Our Person If:
You hold the
CFP® designation
(non-negotiable)
You've spent
5+ years
doing comprehensive financial planning
You can explain a backdoor Roth conversion over coffee without making someone's eyes glaze over
You're detail-oriented but don't lose sight of the big picture
You excel at client communication—both in meetings and in writing
You're fluent in Salesforce (or similar CRM platforms)
You anticipate needs before being asked
You treat client confidentiality like the sacred trust it is
You prefer depth over breadth—serving existing clients well versus chasing new ones
To Apply:
Send your resume and a thoughtful cover letter to tonatalie@parkcitywealthadvisors.com.
Tell us why you love financial planning and what makes you excellent at helping clients navigate their financial lives. Bonus points if your cover letter has personality.
