Overview
We’re looking for a motivated Associate Litigation Attorney to join our Long Beach office. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with 1–4 years of experience who wants hands on litigation experience and the chance to grow quickly within a high-performing, supportive team. You’ll work directly under experienced partners who are committed to mentoring and developing strong trial attorneys. You’ll learn the ins and outs of case management, litigation strategy, and courtroom procedures while taking ownership of real cases early on. What You’ll Do: Handle a high-volume caseload involving commercial and consumer debt litigation. Draft and review pleadings, complaints, motions, and correspondence. Prepare and send FDCPA letters and manage filing processes for complaints. Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Prepare for and attend court hearings — starting with procedural and status hearings and progressing to oral arguments and more substantive matters. Maintain detailed organization across multiple cases and deadlines. Collaborate with partners, paralegals, and support staff to ensure timely filings and accurate documentation. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss active cases, strategy, and assignments. Uphold firm standards for communication — responding to clients and internal emails promptly (within 24 hours). What We’re Looking For: Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. License: Active member of the California Bar Experience: 0–4 years of experience in litigation or related practice areas preferred. Core Skills & Attributes: Confident under pressure — able to think and respond quickly in court. Excellent writing, research, and communication skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities. Proactive, independent worker who takes ownership of assignments. Eager to learn, responsive to feedback, and driven to improve. Team-oriented, respectful, and professional with colleagues and staff.
