Own daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all transactions. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including billing, collections, and vendor payments. Track inventory, reconcile accounts, and manage invoicing processes. Reconcile payroll benefits, employee reimbursements, and credit card accounts. Schedule and process ACH transactions and support payroll review. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reports. Perform reconciliations across all general ledger accounts, investigating variances and making adjustments as needed. Partner with executives to prepare budgets, perform variance analysis, and provide actionable insights. Produce ad-hoc financial reports and analyses to support management decision-making. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies and procedures. Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and forecasting within the accounting function. Must-Have Skills
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger management and reconciliations. Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Experience in a sales‑driven environment with exposure to commissions and revenue flow. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to take full ownership of accounting operations. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with leadership. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment. Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy in all financial matters. Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience in wholesale, distribution, or related commercial industries. Familiarity with expense management platforms (e.g., Concur). Exposure to preparing reviewed financial statements for external CPA firms. Comfort analyzing profit and loss statements to optimize cash flow.
