Vision Engineer
with Haumiller Engineering in our Belvidere, IL facility. The
Vision Engineer
is responsible for developing, designing and programming vision systems used in automation equipment. This position is 100% onsite and based in our Belvidere, IL facility. Depending on workload, this position may require occasional travel to work at our South Elgin, IL location. What You Will Do Plan and perform a variety of duties requiring expert knowledge and skill with equipment including Cognex, Keyence & Fanuc Vision. Develop and implement robust and reliable vision solutions for a variety of custom applications. Collaborate closely with vendors to select vision componentscameras, lenses, lighting, etc.and assess new technology. R&D vision solutions to verify concepts and designs, creating prototype parts and assemblies. Create documentation to effectively communicate designs for external and internal use through owners manuals, job specifications, vision design specifications (VDS) and other documents.
What You Will Bring
BS/BA in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or similar technology field or 610 years of equivalent overall experience. 6+ years overall experience as a Vision Engineer. Ability to design highly complex vision systems using Cognex In-Sight Explorer and Vision Suite; Keyence XG?X, CV?X, IV, and VS platforms; Fanuc iRVision; and others as required. Experience with LEAN manufacturing and 6 Sigma concepts and tools preferred. ISO experience a plus.
