Description Nortech’s finance team is constantly working to improve processes for speed and accuracy in reporting. This position plays a critical role in month and quarter close, and partners with cross‑functional teams to ensure the highest levels of integrity in our financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Prepare and post monthly journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate trial balances.
Monitor a system of internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes‑Oxley Act.
Coordinate with external auditors and accountants and prepare schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
Prepare procedures and forms for the recording of inventory and conduct periodic reviews of the inventory subledger.
Perform and record intercompany eliminations and reconciliations.
Prepare quarterly, annual, and ad‑hoc SEC reporting. Prepare supporting schedules for Form 10‑Q, 10‑K, and Proxy.
Maintain and reconcile lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842, including proper recording of lease liabilities and right‑of‑use assets.
Prepare work papers in accordance with ASC 606 and related monthly/quarterly journal entries.
Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents, investigating and resolving financial discrepancies.
Collaborate as needed with operations, procurement, and finance team members.
Compile trial balances from multiple entities and translate foreign currency balances to support consolidated financial statements.
Oversee inventory reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls.
Pay Range The pay range for this role is $88,000 – $108,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications and other candidate qualifications.
