Site Controller – Cleveland-Cliffs Inc.
The Site Controller will be responsible for leading the accounting and financial reporting activities for the Cleveland, Tennessee Hot Stamp and Assembly Facility. This role reports to the Director of Accounting and ensures accurate, timely financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and audit compliance. The Controller is responsible for producing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, preparing site‑specific forecasts and analyzing current and future financials. The ideal candidate will have prior controller experience, be self‑motivated and thrive in a fast‑paced work environment. Responsibilities
Participate in decision‑making process by assessing purchasing activity
Oversee production and dissemination of monthly and annual financial reports
Maintain and manage an adequate system of accounting records
Accurately forecast relevant operations on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
Develop annual budget in coordination with all relevant business partners
Oversee maintenance and enforcement of established controls designed to mitigate financial reporting risk
Proactively analyze current and forecast information to optimize financial performance
Provide and communicate financial analysis and recommendations to management (sales, expenses, product mix)
Oversee benchmarking, standardization and process improvement initiatives
Monitor the accuracy of the company's reported financial results
Ensure that reported results comply with accounting standards for public enterprises
Monitor provision of timely information for audits and other inquiries
Analyze standard product costing system and related improvements
Oversee and audit physical inventory counts and monitor cycle count program
Direct month‑end close of the General Ledger
Contribute to team effort by collaborating with other site controllers and management
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
4–6 years of accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to use data whenever possible to drive decisions, using strong analytical skills to translate data into action planning
Able to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient with ERP software, preferably Epicor CMS, and Microsoft Office
CPA Credentials
Prior management experience
