Position Overview As an
Electrical Engineer I
in our
Chapel Hill
office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy‑efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.
Key Responsibilities
Work with and be mentored by experienced engineers, gradually taking on greater role in leading electrical projects.
Perform load calculations, determine system sizing and layouts, calculate equipment sizes, select equipment, complete field surveys, and review equipment shop drawings.
Write specifications, participate in project meetings with clients and consultants, and support construction‑phase work.
Lead electrical project teams, documenting work and ensuring quality throughout project life cycle.
Qualifications
BSEE/BSAE from an ABET‑accredited school.
Minimum GPA of 2.5.
Non‑academic internship experience.
Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities or student organizations (preferred).
EIT certification (FE exam pass) a plus.
Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.
Desired Skills
Strong spoken and written communication skills.
Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
Quick technical comprehension with motivation focused on client outcomes.
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
Effective work individually and within team environments.
