Family Support Systems Analyst
State of Ohio Join the team shaping Ohios child welfare and home visiting data systems. As a Family Support Systems Analyst youll provide technical and programmatic support for statewide platforms like OCHIDS, Ohio SACWIS, BIC, ROM, and TEAM Ohio. Youll help ensure these systems meet federal and state requirements while improving outcomes for children and families. Key Responsibilities Provide technical assistance to developers and contractors on child welfare and home visiting systems. Interpret federal and state policies to guide system design and compliance. Develop and test performance criteria, user scenarios, and data conversion plans. Create training materials, webinars, and user documentation. Deliver help desk support to county and private child welfare agencies, internal stakeholders, and home visiting end users. Conduct system trainings and monitor user engagement and system usage. Analyze data, generate reports, and support federal reporting requirements. Represent DCY at meetings, conferences, and public engagements.
Pay Information
Starting salary will be step 1 of the salary range associated with this position. New hires advance to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Additional longevity supplements begin after 5 years. Hourly rates by step: Step 1

For State Automated Child Welfare System (SACWIS) positions: 24 months recent experience in delivering human services, explaining and applying child protective services laws, policies & procedures mandated by Ohio Department of Job & Family Services, and using SACWIS; 6 months training or experience in operating a PC and using Microsoft Office. For Child Care Information Data System (CCIDS) positions: 24 months recent experience in delivering human services, explaining and applying child care laws, policies & procedures mandated by Ohio Department of Job & Family Services, and using CCIDS; 6 months training or experience in operating a PC and using Office. For process automation projects involving other computer systems: 24 months recent experience in delivering human services, explaining and applying laws, policies & procedures mandated by Ohio Department of Job & Family Services relevant to business workflows, and using legacy systems (e.g., Ohio Benefits, SACWIS, SETS, or CCIDS); 6 months training or experience in operating a PC and using Office. Alternative requirement: completion of undergraduate core coursework or 2 years experience in a related field (social services, public administration, etc.) plus experience in public assistance system design using Ohio Benefits System or similar.
