Role Overview Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as a liaison between project management, planning teams, line management, and clients. The analyst reviews project status and budgets, manages schedules, prepares status reports, and develops mechanisms for monitoring progress and problem‑solving. This position supports SSN(X) and U.S.W projects and other operational responsibilities within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee operational aspects of multiple complex projects across disciplines.
Review project status, budgets, and schedules; prepare and distribute status reports.
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client‑satisfaction goals.
Monitor project progress and intervene with project managers, line managers, and clients as needed.
Support the design and engineering teams responsible for the next‑generation Fast‑Attack Submarine (SSN(X)) and Undersea Warfare (U.S.W.) programs.
Track and report key program metrics; prepare POA&Ms for technical work plans.
Provide cost accounting and hour reporting, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including industry partners and government teams.
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience, OR Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience.
Equivalent education and experience options:
NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associate’s Degree or other formal 2‑year program with 2 years of relevant exempt experience, or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E‑5 or above with military experience
High School/GED with 4 years of manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, or military experience, or 8 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Self‑starter with the ability to support multiple complex projects and manage administrative tasks independently.
Proficiency with MS Project and long‑term integrated projects.
PM certification (Agile or PMP) is a plus.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
SECRET clearance.
Knowledge of Submarine Design, CVN 68/78 Class, or related systems.
Experience working with industry partners and government teams such as PMS 351 and NAVSEA 05.
