Fine Jewelry Appraisers

About the Role:
As a Fine Jewelry Appraiser, you will provide expert evaluations and assessments of diamonds, colored gemstones, fine jewelry, and timepieces. Your detailed appraisals will ensure clients receive accurate valuations for insurance, resale, and estate purposes. This role offers the chance to work with exceptional pieces and contribute your expertise to a dynamic and detail-driven industry.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough appraisals of fine jewelry, diamonds, colored gemstones, and luxury timepieces.
Prepare detailed and accurate appraisal reports for various purposes, including insurance, estate planning, and resale.
Stay current with market trends, including pricing for historical and modern pieces.
Use industry-standard tools and equipment, such as microscopes, spectrometers, and scales, to evaluate quality and authenticity.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure appraisal accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
We welcome
Fine Jewelry Appraisers
with all levels of experience, from entry-level to seasoned professionals.
GIA Graduate Gemologist (GG) or GemA FGA certification is required.
Certification from a recognized institution (e.g., NAJA, ASA, or USPAP Certificate of Completion) is preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of diamonds, colored stones, precious metals, and timepieces.
Experience with appraisal software and reporting tools is a plus.
Familiarity with historical period pieces and modern jewelry trends is highly valued.
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and a passion for fine jewelry.
