BSW North Burnet Clinic (North Austin/Domain Area)
Full Time: Mon-Fri 12-hour shifts (three weekdays) 8a-8p / Every Other Weekend (If you work weekend, you do not work during the week) 8a-8p. The Clinic Radiologic Technologist, under general supervision of a Radiologist, performs radiology procedures on ambulatory patients in a Physician Office or Clinic Setting, as requested by a physician or other licensed provider, for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols. Essential Functions
Perform high quality radiology procedures, according to exam protocol, in a timely manner. Maintain production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures. Demonstrate an understanding of radiation dose reference levels, monitoring, and actions for exceeding limits. Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients, ensuring correct exam and rapport. Prepare patient area, position patient, adjust immobilization devices, move equipment, set exposure factors. Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety, infection-control, drug and radiation policies, and sterile techniques; maintain hand hygiene. Maintain equipment and work area quality; collaborate with engineers/physicists to ensure optimal operation. Report issues to management; assist in maintaining supplies inventory. Ensure individuals are safe to enter the department by screening them per approved policies. Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation such as requisition, chart, patient history, pregnancy status, shielding precautions, consent forms, policies, and procedures. Maintain medical imaging records in the system according to policy and timing. Key Success Factors

Able to effectively administer first aid and use emergency cart. Able to ensure customer satisfaction by limiting wait times, providing courteous service, remaining professional, reviewing patient satisfaction scores and developing action plans when required. Demonstrates and maintains current knowledge, continued education and skills appropriate for care of all age groups. Able to serve as preceptor by providing quality training to new team members on new services and initiatives. Able to take call if required. Benefits

EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology. EXPERIENCE: Less than 1 Year of experience. Certification/License/Registration: ARRT-R Radiography, Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire, and Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT) licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board.
