Part time Responsibilities Perform and demonstrate competence in ultrasonic scanning procedures by producing, assessing, and evaluating ultrasound images and related data. Recognize, identify, and appropriately document normal anatomy, abnormalities, disease, pathology, and pathophysiology for accurate medical diagnosis. Conduct all types of ultrasound procedures for patients across all age categories (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric). Complete scans within designated timeframes to support timely patient care. Label and identify scans with accurate patient information and scanning orientation. Provide age-appropriate care, education, and comfort to patients. Follow infection control and universal precautions to prevent the spread of disease. Anticipate and respond to patient needs, ensuring comfort and dignity, especially when operating IVs, monitors, and catheters. Educate patients and reduce anxiety by explaining procedures and answering questions. Use professional judgment to protect patient rights and privacy. Demonstrate empathy and maintain a nurturing environment for patients and their families.
Qualifications
Associates or graduate of an AMA-approved Sonography program. 35 years of previous job-related experience. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). Registration in a minimum of three specialties is required: The third must be in one of the following: Neurosonography, Vascular Technology, or Breast. Two must be in Abdomen and Obstetrics & Gynecology. Registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
Compensation
Salary Range: $34.48 - $59.92 per hour Commitment
