Controller
to join their team. This is a high-impact role for a strategic finance leader ready to take ownership of financial planning, reporting, and controls for a growing organization.
What You Will Be Doing
Direct and coordinate financial reporting and budget management functions.
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance along with individual departments. Implement related reporting metrics for early warning detection and correction of unfavorable performance occurrences.
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and prior year.
Lead daily operations of the accounting department.
Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
Prepare financial forecasts as well as ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
Complete special projects and financial analysis for discussions with management concerning product life cycle and/or pricing actions.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
Implement department goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
Assist the corporate accounting team with audits, as required, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Coordinate, control, reconcile, and report physical inventory results.
What We Need From You
Experience with closing of the books (monthly, quarterly, annually)
Strong accounting knowledge base: general ledger accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, and internal control principles in a manufacturing environment, including a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Working knowledge of short-term and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product costing analysis for items with complex bills of material.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare/present financial reports, statements, and projections.
CPA is a super nice to have
PTO is about 20 days in total.
