GIS Developer – Location: Eden Prairie, MN | Hybrid. Schedule: Full-Time. Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 (based on experience). What You’ll Do
Develop workflow automations using QGIS, Python, and related tools to streamline manual tasks. Create, document, and maintain translation workflows between QGIS and AutoCAD/Civil3D. Design and standardize templates, tools, and spatial data libraries for consistent use across teams. Apply testing and version control best practices to ensure scalability and reliability. Develop and maintain spatial databases (PostgreSQL, SpatiaLite, etc.) to support GIS-enabled workflows. Collaborate with SMEs to identify new opportunities for process automation and improvement. Train and mentor engineers on GIS tools, workflows, and data management best practices. What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, GIS, or a related field. 3–7 years of experience developing GIS-based automations using QGIS and Python. Strong understanding of geospatial libraries (GeoPandas, Rasterio, Shapely) and SQL. Experience with version control (Git) and software development best practices. Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil3D and survey data (LiDAR, GPS). Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Experience creating or managing spatial databases preferred. Why EVS
