Data Center Operations Hardware Technician

Seeking an experienced Hardware Technician with a strong hands‑on background in rack stacking, hardware troubleshooting, and data center equipment setup.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy and maintain high‑performance computing systems, including compute, networking, and storage infrastructure.
Install and configure servers, networking gear, and storage units in data center racks.
Ensure proper cabling, labeling, and power management.
Hardware Troubleshooting
Compute (CPU & GPU)
Identify and replace faulty components.
Diagnose issues related to thermal, power, or hardware performance.
Networking
Integrate and troubleshoot Ethernet and Infinity Band network infrastructures.
Configure and test Ethernet switches and related networking hardware.
Storage Systems
Replace failed drives and address hardware issues in storage arrays.
Troubleshoot storage systems including SSD‑based setups, RAID configurations, and parallel file systems.
Understand file systems, storage policies, and data access performance.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience in hardware deployment and troubleshooting.
Solid understanding of server architecture and components, network cabling and protocols, and storage architecture with drive‑level failure recovery.
Basic experience with Linux commands and operating systems.
Demonstrated ability to independently identify and fix hardware issues.
Strong documentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Willingness and enthusiasm to learn emerging technologies and practices in high‑performance computing.
Additional Requirements
Must be present on‑site in Milpitas, CA five days a week.
Immediate availability preferred.
