Job Summary
Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital’s mission, vision and values. Under the direction of the Radiology Director and Radiologist, performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Operates CT and X‑Ray equipment to produce quality images and radiographs of designated body parts, utilizing the lowest possible radiation dose. Responsibilities include knowledge of all CT and radiology procedures, proper patient positioning, exposures, utilization of PACS, implementation of patient charges, and assistance to physicians as required. Education
Minimum knowledge, skills, and experience required: high school diploma or equivalent, graduate of an accredited diagnostic imaging program, ARRT in radiology (CT preferred). License, Certification and/or Registration
ARRT(R) required; ARRT(CT) preferred. BLS must be obtained during the orientation period. Experience
Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a direct patient‑care setting preferred. Requires proficiency at a technical level not requiring constant direct supervision in CT. Additional Skills/Abilities
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Ability to work in a team environment. Proficiency in using a computer terminal, fax machine, and copy machine. Seniority Level
