Monrovia, CA (Onsite, 5 days a week) Duration- 4-6 months contract About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented
Inventory Specialist to join our retail operations team on a temporary assignment covering 4–6 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion. This role will be responsible for processing a high volume of purchase orders (POs), ensuring product moves efficiently between warehouses, and identifying any capacity or data concerns. You will work closely with the Floor and Warehouse Capacity Manager in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities: Process and track high-volume purchase orders Monitor product movement between warehouses and identify discrepancies Apply problem-solving and analytical skills to validate and maintain accurate data Ensure deadlines are met while following established processes and procedures Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to resolve PO or capacity-related issues Utilize Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred) for referencing and validating data Qualifications: Prior experience with purchase order (PO) processing (required) Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP required; pivot tables a plus) Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle high-volume data Problem-solving mindset and strong math/analytical skills Ability to follow structured processes while also identifying issues when data doesn’t align Preferred: Background in inventory planning, order processing, or buyer/planner roles Exposure to retail, grocery, supply chain, manufacturing, or CPG environments Familiarity with ERP or merchandising systems (GOLD or similar a plus)
