Internship Opportunity at Alaska Airlines

Alaska Airlines interns join teams throughout different departments and work on visible projects that impact our guests and business. Interns get the opportunity to network with fellow employees and company leaders through various intern events and programming. Interns also receive unlimited standby travel benefits during their internship. This internship is for summer 2026. Our internships are full-time for 12 weeks, and we offer two program timelines to align with different academic calendars. This internship will be located in SeaTac, WA. If not already in the internship city, candidates will be required to relocate for the duration of the internship. Role Summary

Data Collection & Analysis Extract and analyze data from multiple sources to support operational and strategic projects. Reporting & Visualization Build and present dashboards, reports, and presentations that communicate insights to stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner. Process Improvement Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, or enhanced user experience through data and technology. Documentation Document workflows, findings, processes and recommendations. Collaboration & Communication Participate in team meetings, share progress updates, and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required: Working toward a Bachelors degree with a focus in Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field. Familiarity with data analysis tools and methods (Excel, SQL, Python, R, Databricks). Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI). Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts and workflows for preparing and integrating data. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings to non-technical audiences. Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation ability to proactively identify problems, seek solutions and follow through. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship. Must have achieved a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum age of 18. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred: Knowledge of API integrations. Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning applications (e.g., natural language processing, predictive analytics, generative AI tools). Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query) for workflow automation and business solutions. Exposure to software testing methodologies (unit testing, regression testing, system testing, user acceptance testing). Previous internship, research, or project experience in analytics, IT, or business operations. Job-Specific Leadership Expectations

USD $30.00/Hr. Total Rewards

Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines and Horizon Air pay and benefits can vary by company, location, number of regularly scheduled hours worked, length of employment, and employment status.
