Help Desk Analyst
We are looking for a detail-oriented Help Desk Analyst to join one of our clients IT hardware team in LaVergne, Tennessee. In this role, you will provide technical support and maintenance for laptops, printers, and associated devices, ensuring seamless operation of software applications and network systems. This position requires hands-on troubleshooting, system administration, and proactive problem-solving to support end users effectively. Responsibilities: Provide technical support for laptops, printers, barcode scanners, and related hardware, including configuration, repair, and preventative maintenance. Administer and troubleshoot Windows operating systems across workstation platforms, ensuring optimal performance. Add new systems to the network and domain, and set file and folder permissions as required. Install, configure, and update software applications, patches, and user workstations. Diagnose and resolve connectivity, hardware, and software issues affecting end-user devices and network systems. Assist users with operational guidance for standard and specialized software applications. Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain clear records. Collaborate with the Systems Administrator to address network and server issues as needed. Manage cabling projects, including installation of Ethernet and serial connections. Install and troubleshoot issues with printers, particularly LaserJet and Zebra models. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a small-to-medium business client/server environment. Certifications such as A+ and Net+ are strongly desired; additional IT certifications or an associate degree in information technology are a plus. Familiarity with Cisco switch configurations, Active Directory, and Windows client operating systems from Windows 7 to Windows 11. Working knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, and Microsoft Office applications. Understanding of network protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, routing, wireless connectivity, and Ethernet cabling. Proficiency in troubleshooting and configuring computer hardware and software. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods. Competency in tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio for documentation and reporting.
