CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration Management Administrator within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The Configuration Management Administrator oversees and maintains the configuration of hardware and software systems within an organization. This role ensures that systems are consistently configured, tracked, and updated according to established policies and procedures, minimizing disruptions and maintaining system integrity. They are responsible for managing changes, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. This position is located in Arlington, VA; however a hybrid model is acceptable. Your future duties and responsibilities include: Configuration Identification and Control: Identifying and controlling configuration items (hardware and software) within the organization. Change Management: Overseeing the process of proposing, reviewing, approving, and implementing changes to system configurations. Compliance and Auditing: Ensuring that configurations adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of system configurations, changes, and related processes. Communication and Collaboration: Working with various teams (IT, development, operations) to ensure proper configuration management practices. Tool Management: Utilizing and maintaining configuration management tools and systems. Training and Support: Providing guidance and support to other team members on configuration management processes and tools. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 to 8 years of experience Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly Developing and implementing configuration management plans. Maintaining a Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Troubleshooting configuration-related issues. Performing architecture reviews and infrastructure design related to configuration management. Managing software and hardware deployments. Ensuring system uptimes through patch management and other relevant processes. Coordinating and controlling change implementation. Monitoring and reporting on the success of change implementation. Establishing authorization controls for modifying configuration items. Verifying compliance with software licensing. Managing and maintaining the configuration management system within the ITSM system. Developing hardware and software version control processes. Supporting inventory control processes. Coordinating property accountability functions. CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $214,800.00.
