The Endpoint Solutions Engineer assists in activities that support the MassArt Client Services team and MassArt's community. This role ensures secure, reliable, and efficient operation of college endpoints, while providing high-level technical support to resolve complex hardware and software issues. The engineer also contributes to technology lifecycle planning, endpoint security, imaging and deployment automation, and works closely with IT colleagues to support the academic and administrative mission of the college. Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical support and end-user assistance for endpoints, devices, and user-focused technology resources including software, networks, telecom services, and enterprise systems owned by, or licensed to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Manage and support a fleet of academic and administrative PCs, designing scalable solutions for configuration, deployment, policy compliance, and user experience. Develop and maintain standardized images and deployment processes for Windows machines while also supporting the configuration and deployment of Mac, and ChromeOS devices, ensuring consistency and efficiency across environments. Serve as application administrator for backup administrator for endpoint deployment and management platforms such as KACE, Intune, Jamf, and ChromeOS tools. Support and manage endpoint security systems, including antivirus, malware protection, multi-factor authentication, and access controls using platforms like Sophos, Rapid7 Insight Platform and CrashPlan. Repair and maintain college endpoints, ensuring devices are secure, up to date, and functioning properly. Collaborate with Print Services and vendors to troubleshoot and support the college's print infrastructure. Respond to, document, and resolve service tickets in alignment with Technology department policies, while providing excellent customer service to the college community. Support and manage software license servers and Service Desk operations, contributing to smooth delivery of technology services. Assumes additional responsibility as may be determined by the Manager of Technology Operations or the Deputy Chief Information Office. Requirements
Required Minimum Qualifications: 3 years of experience supporting working with a management system for Windows and macOS endpoints in an enterprise environment. Proficiency with endpoint management tools and scripting languages. Strong knowledge of endpoint security practices, operating systems, and application troubleshooting. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse campus community. Familiarity with Information technology Services Management and Information Technology Infrastructure Library. Experience with Google Workspace, Active Directory, Azure/ Entra ID and Office 365. Prior experience with service desk software. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Higher Education. CompTIA A. ITIL Foundation. Jamf 100 Certificate. Microsoft Certified: Windows Client. Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate. Additional Information
