Systems Administrator

Serco is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to support the Navy-owned PMS-ES Integrated Data Environment (IDE) in Washington, DC. This role involves maintaining a hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises servers and AWS GovCloud, managing virtual machines, administering Active Directory, maintaining a secure Citrix environment, and managing network security components. This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance post-employment. In this role, you will: Performing monthly maintenance and patching of on-prem Windows Server environments. Monitoring system performance and ensuring high availability. Administering user accounts, group policies, and permissions in Active Directory. Supporting PKI integration and CAC/ECA certificate management. Configuring and maintaining Citrix StoreFront and Delivery Controllers in AWS GovCloud. Supporting migration and operation of PMS-ES components in AWS GovCloud. Creating, configuring, and managing virtual machines using VMware and Hyper-V and configuring and maintaining Cisco firewalls to ensure secure network operations for on-prem environments. Managing and executing regular backups for on-prem systems to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness. Documenting system configurations and maintaining operational procedures. Qualifications: The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. U.S Citizenship is required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in system administration, preferably in DoD or federal environments. A proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Citrix technologies. Experience with AWS GovCloud or other secure cloud environments. Hands-on experience with VMware and Hyper-V for virtual machine provisioning and management. Experience implementing and managing backup solutions for on-prem environments. Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies and RMF compliance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical staff. Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills. To be able to travel 10%. Additional desired experience and skills: An active DoD Secret Clearance. Citrix Certified Associate or Professional (CCA/CCP). AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or equivalent. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). Network+, Security+, or similar certifications. Experience configuring and managing Cisco firewalls. Experience with Arcserve backup solutions. Proficiency in scripting for automation, particularly with PowerShell. Experience with ADFS, PKI, and secure authentication protocols. Prior experience supporting Navy or DoD data environments. In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $97,787.27 to $162,978.79; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
