Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and customer-service-oriented
Wheel Lift Tow Truck Driver
to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will operate a light-duty wheel lift tow truck to safely tow vehicles, assist stranded motorists, and perform other roadside services. You will represent our company professionally while providing timely, high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a wheel lift tow truck to tow vehicles as needed (accidents, breakdowns, impounds, etc.).
Respond to dispatch calls and navigate to service locations efficiently.
Secure vehicles for towing, ensuring no damage occurs in transit.
Complete necessary paperwork and digital documentation accurately (e.g., tow slips, condition reports).
Maintain a clean and organized truck, ensuring it’s always stocked with necessary tools and equipment.
Communicate with dispatch, customers, and law enforcement clearly and professionally.
Comply with all DOT and company safety regulations.
Perform light roadside assistance such as jump starts, tire changes, and lockouts when needed.
Requirements
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
Clean driving record (MVR check required).
Prior towing experience strongly preferred, especially with wheel lift operations.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in all weather conditions.
Availability for nights, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
Must pass background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
Able to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
