Job Summary Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full‑time, tenure‑track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Digital Animation in the School of Art and Design with a preferred start date of August 2026.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses in the BFA in Digital Animation program and graduate courses in the MA in Art and Design.
Further develop the curriculum within Illustration and Sequential Art.
Mentor undergraduate students.
Engage in creative and/or scholarly activities.
Participate in departmental activities, course development, and serve on department and university committees as assigned.
Required Qualifications
MFA (or foreign equivalent) in Animation or Illustration, or terminal degree in a related discipline.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suites and software for 2D and/or 3D Digital Animation.
Strong knowledge and proficiency in 2D and/or 3D animation production, interactivity, design, and technology.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry experience and a record of professional achievement.
Teaching experience beyond graduate school.
Online teaching experience.
Familiarity with Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Harmony, Toon‑Boom, Storyboard Pro, or similar software.
Expertise in motion graphics, illustration, or sequential art.
