Role Overview The Supplier Relationship Manager plays a key role in managing supplier partnerships for a multi-billion dollar federal acquisition program.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure delivery of high-quality goods and services
Communicate program requirements and expectations clearly to suppliers and ensure alignment with contractual obligations
Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and metrics, and identify areas for improvement
Identify and mitigate supplier-related risks such as non-compliance, insolvency, or supply disruptions
Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and Federal client personnel to resolve issues and ensure continuity of critical services
Support audits, documentation, and milestone events throughout the acquisition lifecycle
Preferred Education Master's Degree
Required Technical & Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience, or a master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years, or a PhD with up to 4 years of related experience
Proven track record in supplier relationship management and contract performance oversight
Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations and contracting vehicles
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, contracting, and technical stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical audiences
Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance with the U.S. government
Preferred Technical & Professional Experience
A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting supplier performance in federal acquisition environments
Familiarity with supply chain risk management strategies and mitigation planning
Experience using procurement systems or supplier management tools
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret supplier KPIs and performance data
Ability to build and maintain long-term supplier partnerships in complex program environments
