Base pay range $25.00/hr - $35.00/hr

We are seeking a Sr. Benefits Specialist to join our clients team. Your primary focus will be on administration and delivery of employee benefits programs such as 401(k), health and welfare benefits. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about ensuring employees understand and maximize their benefits.

Responsibilities

Administer and manage all aspects of health and welfare benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and flexible spending accounts

Manage a shared inbox and assist employees with benefits

Oversee and maintain 401(k) and retirement plan administration, ensuring timely processing of enrollments, contributions, and compliance with regulatory requirements (ERISA, IRS, DOL)

Audit benefits data for accuracy, including eligibility, deductions, and payroll feeds.

Support compliance filings such as ACA reporting, 5500 filings, nondiscrimination testing, and other required documentation

Contribute to ongoing process improvements and employee engagement initiatives around total rewards

Qualifications

Experience with federal and state regulations and benefits programs including ERISA, FLMLA, ACA, COBRA, ADA etc

Experience with HRIS systems

Experience with Excel ie. Pivot Tables, V look ups
