The DePaul Ridgeview Commons Apartment Treatment Program is now hiring a part‑time Facilities Coordinator. Under the direction of the Programs Director and Programs Supervisor, the Facilities Coordinator will provide maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of the building and grounds, troubleshoot problems proactively and cost‑effectively, and support the program’s facilities operations.
Responsibilities
Make repairs of the building, equipment, and machinery as needed and notify the Programs Supervisor of any major problems.
Repair lights, plumbing, windows, screens, and perform simple carpentry as required.
Replace or repair carpet and tile, and perform interior and exterior painting. Obtain bids for larger projects.
Coordinate work orders with the Programs Supervisor or designee to meet program deadlines.
Oversee preventative maintenance of generators, fire extinguishers, AnSUL system, sprinkler system, fire alarm, elevator, HVAC system, water treatment, and pest control.
Ensure residents’ rooms are ready for new admissions, including moving furniture and equipment.
Gather price estimates for major repair work and review them with the Supervisor.
Maintain contact with lawn care and snow removal companies; shovel and salt walkways and exits as needed.
Collaborate with the Director to address OMH/HCR and other funders’ physical plant issues per DePaul’s Physical Plant Standards.
Assume on‑call responsibility during physical plant emergencies.
Perform preventative maintenance for building and grounds, weeding, picking up debris, and notifying service as required.
Participate in staff meetings and in‑services.
Work independently and with maintenance staff to meet agency deadlines and priorities.
Follow all safety rules and regulations.
Schedule, implement, and track monthly fire drills per OMH regulations.
Complete monthly inspections of all fire safety equipment per OMH / Quality Management guidelines.
Perform any other duties necessary for effective program operation.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Trade or industrial arts coursework preferred.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Three years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a large facility, including electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, drywall repair, and other minor repair work.
Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds.
Ability to use a computer for email and ticketing systems.
Clean, valid NYS driving record and minimum age of 18.
Location: East Rochester, NY
Salary: $24–$24.90 per hour (competitive based on experience)
This position is Monday‑Friday, Noon to 5 pm. Part‑time. Benefits include 403B with employer match, Employee Assistant Program, Staff Recognition Program, and Employee Discount Program.
