Cost Accountant

Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for manufactured products and distributed goods. Monitor and report on cost variances related to production, labor, materials, and freight. Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate BOMs, routings, and inventory valuations. Perform monthly cost roll‑ups and reconcile inventory accounts. Analyze freight, warehousing, and distribution costs to identify savings opportunities. Prepare cost analysis reports to support budgeting, forecasting and pricing strategies. Assist in cost modeling for new products and strategic initiatives. Highlight trends, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities in management reports. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. Assist in the month‑end close of the general ledger. Support ERP system (NetSuite) optimization and automation of cost accounting processes. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment. Strong proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI). Solid understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting. Experience working with cross‑functional teams. Seniority level:
