Community Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator (FT)

Lexington, KY / Fayette County
Position Summary:
The Community Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator is responsible for implementing and assessing comprehensive year‑round recruitment & membership support strategies that increase girl & volunteer membership and enhance retention. Develop community partnerships and volunteer involvement while providing a consistent image of the Council’s commitment to Girl Scouts and the community at large. Responsible for volunteer recruitment, member identification, growth and maintenance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Evaluate community needs and review demographic and membership data to develop, design and conduct recruitment & retention plans for girl & volunteer membership growth in assigned regions.
Work with a volunteer support team to accomplish key goals & priorities by coaching volunteers in assigned geographic areas.
Build relationships with community leaders, organizations and businesses to increase visibility of Girl Scouts in the community.
Provide additional resources to the community regarding the Girl Scout experience through technology, regular community meetings, information sessions, etc.
Plan, coordinate and implement Girl Scout programming to provide fun, engaging participation options for all girl members.
Identify the need for and provide timely problem solving & conflict resolution support/intervention when appropriate.
Serve as the main point of contact for specific areas and relay relevant information to Girl Scout volunteers and other Girl Scout staff.
Active participation in developing environments that foster diversity, equity & inclusion through words, actions, and attitude.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree and relevant experience
Experience in membership development, recruitment and/or retention

Compensation – GSKWR prides itself on competitive non‑profit pay. Regular opportunities for both cost of living and merit‑based raises after first year of employment. This position has a salary of $30,000 annually. Full‑time position 37.5 hours.
